ABOUT BROWNWOOD CHURCH
OUR JOURNEY
The beginning of Brownwood Baptist Church started in a little house on top of the hill between Sis Viola Jones and Sis Georgia Harris's houses. This church/school stayed there for a short while and later moved to its present location around 1910.

At Brownwood Church, we are committed to living in a way that reflects the heart, power, and teachings of Jesus Christ. Our values shape our culture, our worship, our relationships, and the way we serve our community.
OUR VISION
Brownwood Church Vision Statement
We are a believing church, standing on the Word of our Lord in Mark 16:17–18. We expect the signs that follow believers to follow us: we cast out darkness in Jesus’ name; we speak with the language of the Spirit; we overcome every threat of the enemy; and when we lay hands on the sick, they recover.
We are a healed church and a healing church.
We walk in divine health and we release divine healing.
We live as those redeemed by the finished work of Christ.
We declare:
I am healed by His stripes.
I am made whole by His sacrifice.
I walk in divine health.
I am of God, and God dwells in me in His fullness.
He has captured my heart; therefore, I live in Him, I move in Him, and I speak from Him.
Right now, God is with me.
I am accepted.
I am cleansed.
I am restored.
I am healed from head to toe.
I am healed not by my own works, not by my deeds, not even by the measure of my faith,
but by the stripes of Jesus Christ, once and for all.
And as God has done in me, we will see Him do in others.
We are Brownwood Church — a house of healing, wholeness, and Holy Spirit power.
